Archetypal monochromatic tones range from flawless(無瑕疵) black, and warm or cool greys to purest white.

A collection of fresh, muted, powdery shades.

Soft enamels, golden yellows and mustard(芥末)tones.

Lacquer(漆)red and India pink infuse an exotic orientalia(東方文物), complemented by darks with a blue cast.

Ultraviolet casts a shadow over cool dark browns and pale, limpid(清澈的)tones.

Oily navy underpins a range of flat tones, from cool blue greys to a vibrant royal blue.

A forest of greens from warm olive to darkest evergreen.

Architectural brick磚 browns shot through with gingery metallics金屬.
From the 8 color predicted, black, green and blue are mostly probably used by Polo Ralph Lauren. Therefore, i would like to choose smoky-grey, ultra blue and forest green to be the main color tones for the 2010 fall winter.
Next, i would like to choose the color scheme might be used.
As mentioned before, the most popular color scheme used by Polo Ralph Lauren is Achromatic Color Scheme. On the other hand, Monochromatic Color Scheme is also frequently adopted by Polo.
In conclusion, it is possible that Achromatic Color Scheme and Monochromatic Color Scheme in Smoky-grey, ultra blue and forest green might be adopted in the fall winter collection 2010 of Polo Ralph Lauren.

  • History

The Polo/Ralph Lauren Corporation (RL) has become one of the best-known fashion design and licensing houses in the world. Founded by American designer Ralph Lauren in the late 1960s, the company boomed in the 1980s as Lauren's designs came to be associated with a sophisticated and distinctly American attitude. The company's first products were wide ties, but it soon designed and manufactured an entire line of menswear before entering the more lucrative women's fashion market as a designer and licenser. By the 1980s, the Polo/Ralph Lauren name helped sell a wide array of products, including fragrances and accessories for men and women, clothing for young boys and infants, and a variety of housewares, shoes, furs, jewelry, leather goods, hats, and eyewear. The company licenses nearly 300 manufacturers and 100 retail outlets around the world. RL also runs 240 of its own stores in the United States.

History of Polo Ralph Lauren

The brand was launched in 1967 when Ralph Lauren, born Ralph Lifschitz, got a $50,000 loan. Prior to starting Ralph Lauren, he worked for Brooks Brothers. In 1968 he started a line of men's ties. By 1969 he had a boutique store within the Manhattan department store Bloomingdale's. In 1971, Polo Ralph Lauren launched its first women's collection and his first standalone store in Beverly Hills, California. Ten years later, in 1981, the brand went global with its first international store on London's New Bond Street. The Polo Sport line was introduced in 1993.

The brand now produces clothing, accessories, fragrances, furniture, operates the restaurant RL in Chicago, and sponsors a Harlem cancer center in association with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. The flagship store is located in the former Rhinelander Mansion on Madison Avenue in New York City.

Other flagship stores are located in Chicago, East Hampton, London, Miami, Milan, Palm Beach, and Tokyo.

Ralph Lauren is one of the largest fashion designer/retailers in the United States, with sales almost reaching 2 billion pounds per year.
